30 Days and Counting
Posted Nov 10, 2014 10:49am
Today is November 10, 2014. Joe's surgery is in 30 days. We just finished a three week, four times a week, 2 1/2 hour a time Bible class at our home. We believe III John 2 which states "Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health." So we all took this class in mental and spiritual preparation for the days to come. It's always great to be reminded of God's will for our lives.
Joe is very ready. He is not anxious or nervous, just ready to feel better. In the next 30 days he will take his Driver's Ed classes, see the orthodontist twice in the hopes of maybe getting the braces off before surgery, and work ahead in his high school classes so as to not be behind when he comes back to school in January. His sister will come home for Thanksgiving and I'm sure we'll all get some Black Friday shopping done.
We will be heading to Denver on Monday, December 8. It may be after school on the 8th - that will be Joe's call. Our pre-op appointment is at 11:45 a.m. on the 9th and we have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. for surgery which begins at 7:30 a.m. on the 10th. My sister will fly in to Denver on the 9th to offer some help and to free up Dave to return home possibly on Thursday to our son Ben who will stay behind with a friend.
Most likely I will not update here again until December 8th or 9th. Again thank you everyone for your support and for your prayers.
