Today is Sunday, November 2 and I am glad it is November. As the years go by, I find that I dislike Halloween more and more. It seems to bring out the crazies. So I am glad that we are into November. This month we have Ben's 13th birthday to which I say WOW. My youngest will be a teenager. Today he was officially taller than me. I am the smallest. He was pretty proud. He's enjoying the class and told me today he wouldn't mind taking it again and taking the Advanced Class when it was available. I let him know the progression and he is all for it. Having Nicki Sheerin (age 15) in this class with us has been great. She comes with her mom Terri (who if my Corps sister.) They spend Saturday nights with us and yesterday they took Ben to Olive Garden with them and they hung out for awhile. Joe had spent the night (10/31) at a friends so he was going to sleep (but didn't end up sleeping.)
Right before Ben's birthday, Dave goes to Illinois for the annual deer hunt. Then right after Ben's birthday and Dave's return will be Thanksgiving (our families favorite holiday). Joe will take Driver's Training Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday before Thanksgiving and he will be able to take the written test for his permit too. Then on Dec 23 we just need to go to the DMV and get his Permit. He won't be able to drive until the doctor clears him, but since you need to hold your permit one whole year before getting your license, we'll take him to get his permit on his birthday (if he's up for it.) Probably somewhere in here we will also do an early birthday party for Joe.
His teachers are outstanding and very willing to work with him. Right now he has 4 A pluses, 1 A and 1 B plus AND he really loves high school. He's an awesome kid.
Dave and I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting the class and listening to the class. We have everything thought through so no one is getting up early to do refreeshments or anything. We are all hearing all of the class. This is my first time hearing this class and first time in over 12 years hearing any FNC class. This should make it much easier to talk to people about the class as I now know what's available and how to receive it. ;)
Our business did great this year and we are triple the business income from last year. We are about to send our quarterly evaluation in to our CPA so we can make sure we are good with all our tax payments, etc. We've been able to save money each month as well as pay for college for Jessica as well as pay our living expenses. So God has met our need!
Jessica is doing great in school. She especially loves her math class she is taking right now. She has joined the Sigma Kappa Sorority and she is running half-marathons. She keeps plenty busy.
