Probably the hardest thing about this job is that the teacher and I have been the only two constants in the classroom. The older aide Ellen is very good, but has been sick once each week. The younger aide Meagan is very sick and I feel very motherly toward her. So when you have potentially aggressive children, you don't want them acting out at the sick one or the older one. So I hope this all rectifys itself soon. I come home pretty over-stimulated at times.
You know the young child or younger sibling that is constantly tapping your arm and saying, "Patty, Patty, Patty, Patty, Patty, Patty......" you get the picture. I had one of those and then another who has been told to give me space so he stays about 12 inches away but follows me everywhere and knows the answer to everything. So today when I came home I just had to be quiet for awhile.
We did have a good fellowship last night. Our group studied verses on the power of the tongue. Lots of positives in Proverbs 15 as well as in James, but I was trying to spin the positive angle on it. Like our words are sweeter than honey, etc..
Dave's birthday is tomorrow and Ben has no school tomorrow so I believe they are hitting Chuck E Cheese at least that is the rumor. Wouldn't you want to do that on your 51st birthday??? lol
