So we all know I need to lose weight, that is no secret. A while back Dave and I watched Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. It was a documentary about a man who had an autoimmune disease (uncurable) and decided to begin juicing and then his road to recovery and health and how he helped others. I really didn't know how to put this into practice. I tried buying already made juices from the grocery store and that lasted about five days. I tried pure vegetarian living, but the program we tried had the same 8 recipes and I had a lot of weight to lose. I just couldn't do it. Then I found Juicing with Julie Facebook page. She incorporates some of the ideas from the Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead documentary and she has 30 day juice challenges. She has a juice challenge that begins March 1st, but I started it on Monday which was February 25. This is day 4 and I am down 5 pounds. My initial goal was 5 days at a time with an end goal of 30 days.
I feel so good, I would love to continue past 30 days, but let's just take it five days at a time. Last night was the first night I slept the entire night in about 4 years. I'm not sure why, but it felt fantastic.
I just want a place to share my victories. That's it for now.
