Costa Rica - Day Four (Ben)

Today we started full of energy after a good breakfast, just as the days before. We started our journey around the Arenal lake from La Fortuna. Weather was great! Our trip led us towards the mountains where the roads are really winding but we did great! Juan Carlos our driver definitely knows what he is doing!!! After a while on the bus we stopped at a town named Tilaran to stretch out! it felt so good!!!

We went on for about 1 more hour till we got to the school we were going to visit. This school is in the middle of the mountains. We met Elizabeth who is the person that teaches all grades in the same room. Sounds like a HUGE task and it TOTALLY is, but she's got only 9 student in her classroom. This kids were grateful about having us there with them! We shared and we even practiced our Spanish.

It was about time to have lunch. This was in Santa Elena, Monteverde. Our hotel was ready, we got some rest because a little later we had the ZIP LINE tour!!!!! This time was AWESOME!!!! Adrenaline started to rush as we waited in the line to get on the first cable. SO MUCH FUN!!!!

After this activity we went to a community park to meet local people. We played some games, racket ball, soccer and at the and when it was dark we had a bon fire with marshmallows stuffed with cream or chocolate!!! On the way to our hotel we saw our very first SLOTH. After dinner we talked a while gathered at the reception of our hotel and then off to bed! Till tomorrow!!!!

    1. Yes they are, yet it doesn't seem as "frantic" as Jessica's middle school "New York" trip that I chaperoned or Joe's 8th Grade DC trip. It seems like it moves along at a nice pace. Today he went horseback riding and tomorrow they have a day at a beach.
