DAY 3: MAY 28, 2015
Wake up call today morning in the rain forest was provided by the multiple bird species that happen around the hotel. The owner of this family owned place remarked our good luck because as he himself said after about a month of continuous rain and clouds, today on the other hand was clear and beautiful. From the restaurant we could see the Arenal volcano with its majestic two craters on top of the mountain.

The experiences started early today. Some of us padded a horse and gave him some pineapple for breakfast before having our own breakfast. (There are two groups there - our group and some older kids from KY or TN)

Those who drink coffee were served by two teachers who made the coffee the CRn way for us.
After eating, we headed to La Fortuna Town where we went shopping among CRcans, enjoyed some ice-cream and frozen coffe, enjoyed the park and the beautiful sun that God blessed us with today. After a while here, we rode our bus straight to a big, men made lake where the guys from a kayaking company were waiting for us.
Once all of us put on the life jackets and got on one of those kayaks the fun started across a small section of the Arenal lake.
After the tour and after some time swimming in the lake "cold" water, some of us tasted coconut water out of a coconut! That was a different experience. After having lunch in the hotel, CRn style of course, we got ready to enjoy a fun and relaxing afternoon in the hotsprings. The water felt great and the smoothies we tried in there were just too good!!!!!
Time flu by and we then had to go back to the hotel for dinner. There, moths, gekos (small almost transparent lizards), and toads were our hosts.

Well after all we are in the rain forest the most divers of all habitats! Tomorrow will also be great.

The hot springs are cool, eh? What a great itinerary!
