HOLA chicos y chicas!!! I'm Jonathan (Jon) your Tour Director while exploring Costa Rica!!!!! I'm SO excited to have you here in this Nature immersed beautiful country of mine and of yours! Are you guys ready to live the Costa Ricans PURA VIDA!!! way of living? I can't wait to start showing you around! Remember to bring your raincoats, because we are transitioning to the rainy season in Costa Rica, and so rain is going to be part of our much exciting and fun adventure!!!!!! See you here VEEEEEEEERY SOON! JON.............. The first have of our group arrived well. We met in the airport and went to the bank to exchange money. Our first CRn experience. After dealing with colones, dollars and Spanish we went to have a tasty CRn traditional lunch. It included fried ripe plantains and a rice pudding differently prepared to what we are use to but still good. Now we are at the hotel and are waiting for the other part of the group! Second group arrived late but happy and ready for next day!
Ben traveled to Denver on Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day). He was a passenger in the Coniff's truck. Mrs. Coniff is his Computer teacher and Wade Coniff is a 7th grader like Ben. Wade's older brother Cole (8th grade) is a student on the trip also. They got to Denver in great time (no accidents, no excess traffic). They stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Denver. On Tuesday morning they took a shuttle to the Denver airport. They were able to board their plane just fine, but had to circle Atlanta for about 30 to 40 minutes because of weather. The radar looked pretty wicked. They landed late, but their connecting flight was delayed also. Their connecting flight got them into Costa Rica five hours later than anticipated (11:30 p.m. instead of about 7:30 p.m.).
