I haven't heard back yet from David at Nerd Tap about Ben possibly working with him. But I need to stop by there tomorrow and get a protective film on my cellphone. (I got my replacement phone today.)
Joe went back to school today. Jess started a 2000 piece puzzle (Times Square on New Year's Eve). We finished the puzzle Laura gave us in one day. This puzzle we just started will not fit my new puzzle board. We just moved it to the dining room table and moved the dining room table to the living room. We are serious - (well Jess is serious). I put two pieces in today in between working at my desk and picking up kids from school.
Ben is really liking his new school. I don't know if this will make sense to you or not, but today when I dropped him off it was very lightly snowing. It was 7:25 a.m. when I dropped him off. They are supposed to stay outside until 7:35 a.m. and then at 7:35 they go inside and at 7:45 school begins. They were having them come right inside as they were dropped off. To me that is showing the students you care about them; they are important. It could be pouring down rain at his other school and they wouldn't do that for the kids. I'm not saying it's the teachers. I'm sure the number of students and the amount of Personal Development the teachers have to go to keep them from being in their classrooms before the day begins. But I just know that showed me A LOT - the fact that they had the students come inside. He has had homework and has done the homework each night.
We got a 3d printer as a family gift for the Holidays. It was a Black Friday Barnes and Noble deal. We have gift cards for B&N and we have a card that gives us 10% off and a credit card that gives us another 5% off. So we got a great deal. Ben has made a heart, a whistle, and right now he is making the Eiffel Tower. It's pretty cool. The 3d printer he and I made is still not working. I don't have any more time to invest in it, but he may try to get it working still. It's just the one we bought is sooooo much better.
So another thing I am doing is this:
This is today's scripture:
Psalm 90:12-17King James Version (KJV)
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
13 Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.
16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it
Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon you!
