Here Joe is at the DMV checking over his information and about to get his photo taken for his driver's license. I picked him up at school and then he did his driving test with the Western Slope Driving Institute. He passed and then on to the DMV. It wasn't very busy which was nice. The gentleman called us up within 10 minutes but then said, "I'm sorry. I need to put your number back in the cue." Then we saw him walk out of the building. We probably waited another 15 minutes after that. He came back and called us up again. Apparently the two clients before us had given him bad checks and he needed to walk outside and "chill" for a few minutes. We were probably some of his easiest people of the day.
Joe drove me home and we said good bye to Jessica. She headed back to Arvada today. We gave her hugs and off she went. She is running a race tomorrow and then off to Vegas on Sunday. We can get awesome rates here in CO to go to Vegas. So she and some of the sorority girls are going. Plus she got a $40.00 room rate at a really nice hotel. Las Vegas used to be where we went a lot when the kids were little because it was so affordable for us. We could drive there and then get Circus Circus rooms for like 19.00 a night.
After Jessica left and Joe went back to school, I started to clean up the living room. I had to cancel some Cable services and take the equipment back as well as pick up contact lenses for Jessica and drop off her glasses. Then it was time for Ben's haircut. Ben had no school today because his school goes only Monday - Thursday. After Ben's haircut, I went and laid down and I slept for FOUR HOURS! I was pooped! Dave made supper and I woke up in time to eat it.
It's 11:15 p.m. now and I'm going strong. I'm working on gifts for all the people in our fellowship. I bought these little photo books of about 20 pages. I bought these a while ago. Then I ordered the theme postcard and the Director photos. I am putting them in the booklet as well as our Region coordinators photos, our photo, and our fellowship photos. It is meant to be used as a prayer aid. I hope they all enjoy it. I also bought them all the most recent Give and Share booklets. I need to find some ribbon or something to bind those together.
On Sunday we are meeting at Starvin Arvins ( a restaurant) for breakfast. It's kind of like our holiday get together since we left town December 19th and are just now getting back in the groove of things.
I started to take the tree down tonight and will finish that tomorrow. I am going to have to put away the Times Square puzzle although we were not done with it. We got close - probably about 300 pieces left out of 2000. But it's on our dining room table and our table is in our living room; so the goal is to get the house back together.
By the time you read this it will be Marcia's birthday! Happy Birthday, Marcia!
