I was a junior in the fall of 1977. I remember it well - as if it were yesterday. How could 34 years have passed already? Jessica went today (and I accompanied with the checkbook) to check in at Grand Junction High School for her Junior year. What I remember most about Junior year is how fast it flew by. Before I know it, she'll be gone on to college and I'll be missing her like crazy.
Tomorrow she heads to NJ to meet up with Ramona and then Matthew, Angie, and Alison, for some good times in NJ and NY. I think she should have a great time.
Here's her schedule for the coming year.
Schedule (until I change it...):
1: APUSH (Scroggins) (AP US HISTORY)
2: AP Lang (Childs) (AP Language Arts)
3&4: AP Environmental Science (McClellen)
5: O&B (Orange and Black - the school newspaper)
6: Release
7: AP Calculus
8: Spanish III (Kessler)

Tomorrow I register Joe for middle school. This year I will have one in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary. They are all growing up so fast. If you are reading this, what do you remember about your junior year?
I went to the Junior/Senior Prom with Gene Pierce. I wasn't too interested in having a boyfriend and I got a lot of flack from friends telling me how much Gene liked me. I'm sorry Gene. But I had a very nice time at the prom and then a whole bunch of us like (24 or so) went to the beach and spent the night and played volleyball and tug of war the next day. That was pretty fun too.
The photo above is all of us at the beach. I am front and center. Well, Jessica, my dear -- enjoy 11th grade, I sure did.
