Well my dental coverage begins 10/1 so we are going to wait until then. Yesterday was somewhat emotional. Joe was upset that he was going to have to have the tooth pulled. He's such a tender-hearted kid you hate to see him sad. We really need the orthodontist's input now as Joe was to begin headgear in October. Once the tooth is out, it's possible the orthodontist can do something (braces or something to keep the space). Otherwise Joe will need what is called a "flipper."
I picked Jessica up from her fabulous trip to NY/NJ and I was telling her about Joe and she said, Oh yeah, I know about "flippers." That's what the kids on Toddlers and Tiaras wear. That just made me smile.
SO his orthodontist can see him next Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. which happens to be my first day of work at the school district. The principal cleared me to leave early that day to take Joe. School actually starts on Wednesday, so there won't be any students yet on Tuesday. Will know more after that. We really thought the tooth was going to make it. Oh well. You eventually end up with an implant - but that can't be done until you are done growing. So for a boy that may be 18 or 19 years old.
Very glad to have Jessica home. Read up on Princeton today. Sounds very interesting. Good financial aid package also.
Well that's it for right now.
