Here we have the before picture in the dentist chair - very numb, the ride home picture with the gauze, a photo of the tooth (not very clear), and an after photo. It was a little nerve wracking while Joe was getting shot after shot to get numb. I wondered who was more nervous - him or me. Right at that moment my mom sent me an e-mail telling me she was thinking of us. It was perfect to calm the nerves. It is now 5 hours later and he is doing great. He said that he thought he was going to be sad about having to have it pulled, but he's doing okay. I'll try to get my camera photo of the tooth up sometime (these are cellphone photos.) But it is very obvious that the permanent canine tooth that was being held back because the baby canine tooth was still in was the culprit in causing the permanent damaged tooth to die. It just ate away at it while it was looking for a place to come in. In hindsight, sure we can say, we should have pulled that canine tooth a year and a half ago - but hindsight is always 20/20. We have to get up early to get to Dr. Proietti's office by 7 am and hopefully still get Joe to school on time at 7:30 a.m.Glad the day is over. Tomorrow is Back to School Nights for both Joe and Ben. That's the focus tomorrow.
